On November 30, 2017 the China´s Cultural Diplomacy research team of the Oriental Institute presented the outcomes of its 3-year grant project, awarded by the Czech Science Foundation (GAČR), at the European Institute for Asian Studies (EIAS) in Brussels, Belgium.
The team convened the workshop entitled "China´s Cultural Diplomacy: The Role of Non-State Actors" together with Prof. Lutgard Lams from Catholic University of Leuven, who chaired the seminar. The speakers introduced the overall project, the key theoretical concepts and four case studies - on Central Europe (Czechia and Germany), the Middle East (the United Arab Emirates), Central Asia (Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan) and Southeast Asia (Malaysia).
